A pellet gun requires a spring to provide the impetus for firing the BB projectile. You can make your own mini spring powered BB gun from a few household supplies and some commonplace tools. You will also need adult supervision when making and using your mini spring powered BB gun if you are underage, since a BB has the potential to cause harm to a person or damage an object.

- Paper clip
- Bonding glue
- Needle-nosed pliers
Unscrew and remove the front section of the disposable plastic pen. Place the front section aside. Pull the plastic tube out of the back section. Place the back section aside. Remove the spring from the end of the plastic tube. Place the plastic tube and spring aside.
Cut the back section of the plastic tube in half with the scissors. Dispose of the cut piece of the back section that has a hole on both sides.
Twist the paper clip between your fingers to compress its sides. Slide the spring onto one end of the paper clip. Push the spring fully onto the paper clip with your fingers.
Slide the spring fully into the open end of the cut piece of the back section of the disposable plastic pen.
Place bonding glue around the rim opposite the pointed end of the front section of the disposable plastic pen. Place the open end of the back section against the front section of the disposable plastic pen that has the bonding glue on it. Let the bonding glue set for an hour.
Clamp the jaws of the needle-nosed pliers around the pointed end of the front section of the disposable plastic pen. Twist the jaws of the needle-nosed pliers to remove the barrel point from the pointed end. Dispose of the barrel point in the trash.
Place a BB into the pointed end of the disposable plastic pen that is now a spring powered BB gun. Push the BB all the way to the other end using the plastic tube.
Push the pin through one side of the back section and against the plastic tube that is inside. Pull the plastic tube out as you push the pin through the other side of the back section.
Go outside in your backyard. Aim the pointed end of your spring powered BB gun at a tree or rock that has no one next to or near it. Pull out the pin to fire the BB at the tree or rock.
