  1. 1

Look at a Princess Jasmine picture before you begin putting the costume together. If you do not have an Aladdin movie or book, you can view the Disney clipart image of Princess Jasmine in the resource section of this article.

  2. 2

Purchase a blue pair of satin type trousers that are baggy in the legs. At the same time pick up a blue bikini style top. If you want your child to be more modest, you can have them wear a nude or tan-coloured gymnastics suit underneath.

  3. 3

Choose a wig with long black hair if your child does not already have long black hair. A ponytail holder should be placed just below the neck. It can be either blue or gold in colour.

  4. 4

Wrap a gold ribbon around the top of the black hair. Use a hot glue gun to glue a fake plastic blue jewel right in the middle of the ribbon.

  5. 5

Use a pair of blue or gold shoes to complete the Princess Jasmine clothing.

  6. 6

Accessorise your Princess Jasmine costume by adding a gold necklace and a pair of gold earrings.

Tips and warnings

  • Carry around a stuffed tiger to represent Princess Jasmine's pet Rajah.
  • If you allow your daughter to wear make-up, a little bit of red lipstick can be used.
