How to Rejuvenate Laminate Floors

Updated February 21, 2017

Laminate flooring is a relatively inexpensive alternative to pricey flooring materials such as tiles and wood. While laminate is durable and will last many years, it is not indestructible. If your laminate floor is in need of a proper cleaning, you can rejuvenate it with a cleaning product intended exactly for the material. Using oils or wood cleaners should be avoided as they will only further worsen the condition. Properly apply the cleaner and see how your laminate floors shine.

Clear all movable objects from the laminate floor and sweep up all surface dirt and debris.

Use a cloth to wipe up any additional fine dust on the floor that you could not sweep up.

Spray the laminate cleaner directly onto the floor and buff the laminate surface with a clean cloth. Use short circular motions for best results. Work across the entire laminate surface by spraying, then buffing in the cleaner for a brilliant shine.

Never attempt to clean your laminate floor with detergents, wax or oil based products.
