Instructions

  1. 1

Purchase old board books at garage sales, consignment shops or thrift stores.

  2. 2

Cover the front and back cover of the old book with rubber cement or Mod Podge.

  3. 3

Lay a piece of scrapbook paper or wrapping paper face down on the table.

  4. 4

Place the book glue side down on the paper, smoothing the paper to remove any air or glue bubbles.

  5. 5

Repeat these steps with every page. You can use matching paper or mix it up on every page.

  6. 6

Once the pages are dry, cut the paper close to the edges of the board book.

  7. 7

Sand the edges, moving it in the same direction with each swipe. This will allow the book to have smooth neat edges and make it look a little distressed.

  8. 8

Use glue, paper, stickers, photos and other scrapbook tools to write and decorate your board book.
