How to Connect an RCA to a PC Monitor

Many devices--such as video game systems, DVD players, and digital cable boxes--use RCA cables in order to connect the device to a television. If you wish to connect one of these devices to a computer monitor, you must find a way to convert the RCA signal to a VGA cable, which is then plugged into your monitor.

Instructions

    Attach one end of your RCA cables to the RCA output ports on your device.

    Attach the other end of the RCA cables to the RCA ports on your RCA-to-VGA adaptor cables.

  3. 3

    Connect the VGA end of your RCA-to-VGA adaptor cables to the VGA port on your computer monitor.

  4. 4

    Turn your device and your computer monitor on to ensure that the visual signal from your device can be seen on your monitor.
