How to Create a Transformer's Theme Bedroom

Updated April 17, 2017

Decorating your children’s bedroom can be as much fun for you as it is for the kids. A Transformer’s theme, based on the futuristic robotic TV series and films, makes a great bedroom for a young boy, and only requires a little investment and some imagination.

Decorate the walls of the bedroom. The walls are the most noticeable and striking part of the room, and how they look will help determine the room's character. Wallpaper is the cheapest and easiest option for covering the walls. Numerous sites on the Internet, such as eBay, Amazon.com or thewallpaperstore.com, have a long list of papers and borders for you to choose. You may also find wallpapers at your local home decorating store. Hang the wallpaper according to the manufacturer's directions.

Replace the room’s bedding covers and sheets with a Transformer’s themed bed set. Again, Internet sites, such as Awestores.com, eBay and Amazon.com, have many selections of bedding sets. You can add other accessories, such as blankets and pillows, to the bed if you are under budget.

Cover the wardrobes, mirrors and cupboards of the room with stickers. This is a great way to involve your children if the room is for them. Get the kids to choose their favourite stickers and attach them to whatever they want.

Purchase some Transformer’s theme posters to put up around the bedroom. Choose 3 or 4 different Transformers to decorate the room. For example, you might have a poster of Optimus Prime (the leader of the Autobots), Megatron (the leader of the Decepticons) or a poster of all the Transformers together. Again, allow the children to choose their favourite posters for their room.

Buy some Transformers figurines to add the finishing touches to the room. These make great additions to desktops or shelves, and even make fun playthings for the children and their friends.

Tip

You can even decorate the floors of your bedroom with a Transformer’s theme. Rugs and mats are nice additions to an otherwise plain floor.
