Instructions

  1. 1

Mix together equal parts flour, water and glue in a bowl with a spoon. About one-half cup of each works well.

  2. 2

Tear a newspaper into strips. Drench the strips in the glue mixture and drape them onto one side of an exercise ball. Take care to cover exactly one half of the ball, as this will make the shape of the turtle shell. Cover generously and let dry.

  3. 3

Peel the hardened newspaper shell from the exercise ball. Paint the shell with green paint and let dry.

  4. 4

Attach a strip of elastic to each side of the newspaper shell, placing a drop of hot glue at the end of each strip. You should now have two straps that can slide over the shoulders to make the shell sit on the back.

  5. 5

Pair the shell with a green shirt and green trousers to complete the turtle costume.
