How to download free PC games using isohunt

Updated February 21, 2017

The IsoHunt search service can be utilised to acquire large files, such as PC games, for free. The files that you download via the IsoHunt service will be torrent files, Zip files or RAR files. These types of PC game files cannot be opened on their own. PC games that you acquire via IsoHunt or similar search service must be downloaded or extracted using a torrent client software program or a Zip/RAR program. The program you'll need will be determined by the file format downloaded via IsoHunt.

Visit the IsoHunt home page.

Enter the name of the PC game you wish to download into the IsoHunt search box. Click "Search." A list of available downloads appear.

Click the link for the PC game you want to download. The proper link for the game likely will have the phrase "full game" or "full version" in the link name. A window appears after the link is chosen.

Click "Save" or "Save File" in the IsoHunt window. The torrent, Zip or RAR file saves on the computer.

Double-click the torrent acquired from IsoHunt. A window appears.

Click the name of the torrent program installed on your computer (uTorrent, BitTorrent, etc).

Click "Open." The program opens and the PC game torrent starts to download.

Double-click the PC game name once it's finished downloading. The game opens.

Double-click the Zip/RAR file acquired from IsoHunt. The file you use to unzip Zip and RAR files opens.

Click the "Extract" or "Extract Files" button in the program (depending on the unzip program you're using). A window appears.

Click on a folder inside the window. This folder will hold the PC game files.

Click "Extract" or "Save." The PC game files are extracted and the game is saved on the computer.

Warning

Using IsoHunt or any similar service to acquire copyrighted PC games is illegal.
