A Brinks combination lock is a small lock with a dial. To open the lock, you need to input the combination using the dial. This will unlock the mechanism inside the unit, which will then allow you to pull up on the clamp and release the lock from its closed position.

    Find the combination for your Brinks lock. This three digit code comes printed on a sticker attached to the lock itself. It also is written in the instruction manual.

    Turn the dial on your Brinks combination lock clockwise three full rotations. On your third rotation, stop the lock on the first digit in the combination.

  3. 3

    Turn the dial on your Brinks combination lock two full rotations counter-clockwise. On your second rotation, stop the lock on the second digit in the combination.

  4. 4

    Turn the dial on your Brinks combination lock one full rotation in a clockwise motion. During your rotation, stop the lock on the first digit in the combination.

  5. 5

    Pull up on the top of the unit to release the internal mechanism and open your Brinks combination lock.
