One way to create a guide for travelling to Japan is to design a travel brochure. Travel brochures are fairly easy to make and can contain a lot of useful travel tips, pictures and additional information about Japan (and your company or services, too). If you have a word processing application, such as Microsoft Word, you can design a travel brochure of Japan in very little time. The steps detailed here will show you the process required to accomplish this.

Instructions

  1. 1

Gather everything you need. Make sure you have pictures or graphics you plan to use on your computer in the appropriate type of file (JPG, BMP and so on). Get all of the details you want to include, also. Have a rough idea of what you want the design of your Japan travel brochure to look like and anything else you think you may need.

  2. 2

Launch Microsoft Word. If the “Document Wizard” does not automatically appear, you will have to select “File” and then “New” to start it. Choose the “Publications” tab found on the wizard. Click the “Brochure” icon shown and then “OK.” This creates the new brochure. Select “Save As…” under “File” to keep a copy of your travel brochure of Japan. Name it suitably; and after that simply click the “Save” button.

  3. 3

Look over the opened brochure. The default brochure is a tri-fold (fold over similar to a letter), 8 ½ x 11-inch template with a front and a back. It has words and graphics already on it, but you can easily design your own to fit your needs. When you look a little closer, you will see there are more than just worthless words on it. The information on it contains several tips and ideas on how to customise it. You will find valuable data, so it is a good idea to read it. You can also use the “Help” feature of Microsoft Word at any time during your designing process.

  4. 4

Add the details of your Japan travel brochure. You can easily customise your new brochure. You can select and then make changes to its various parts, or you can also easily delete things you do not desire to keep. All you need to do is choose the part you would like to make the modifications to and after that, add your own design. Once you have finished (and also as you are designing it), you should be sure to select “Save” again to keep your copy updated.
