The process of using a generic plug and play monitor driver instead of your dedicated HP w1907v monitor driver may sound complicated, but it is quite straight forward. All you have to do is uninstall the dedicated HP w1907v monitor driver that you installed when you originally set up the unit. At that point, Windows will recognise that no driver is installed and will automatically install the appropriate generic plug and play driver on your machine.
