How to create VIP party invitations
VIP invokes a sense of prestige and celebrity to those who find themselves on a VIP guest list (Hollywood Sign image by crossgolfing from

A party with a VIP (very important person) guest list or theme is ideal for making the event special and memorable with an heir of prestige. A VIP party, theme or guest list will begin with the invitation. The invitation sets the tone for the event and distinguishes those who are on the VIP list, if applicable, from the rest. VIP invitations should invoke a sense of celebrity, fame and star power to make those invited feel they are on an elite list.

  1. 1

Fold the paper in half, or cut down to postcard size. Design and colour the front of the invitation with words like "exclusive," "elite" and "selected few," in addition to "VIP" to alert guests immediately that they are very important guests.

  2. 2

Add elements such as stars, reminiscent of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, glitter and spotlights to add to the celebrity appeal.

  3. 3

Design the inside to be a VIP guest pass. Draw a dotted line square to indicate the shape is to be cut out. On the inside, write the guest's name and underneath "VIP guest." Include the date, time and place in the pass or elsewhere on the inside of the card.

  4. 4

Glue a lanyard into the inside of the card next to the cut-out VIP pass to indicate guests wear their VIP status around their neck, like backstage passes to concerts.

  5. 5

Include VIP information but word it appropriately to a VIP guest. For example, write "Please allows us two weeks notice to prepare for your attendance by calling 123-4567."
