You find yourself drenched in sweat in the middle of a summer heatwave. You decide to throw all concerns about fashion to the wind in an attempt to get some relief from the blistering heat. Well, purchase an inexpensive pair of men's brief-style underwear, and you can make your own halter top in just a few minutes. You might feel odd wearing a pair of men's underwear as a shirt at first, but that feeling will quickly fadeas you begin to cool down.

Instructions

  1. 1

Measure around your chest just below your bust with a soft tape measure.

  2. 2

Purchase a pair of men's briefs that have a waist measurement matching your below-bust measurement. Buy a colour other than white.

  3. 3

Measure down the centre of your chest from just below the bust to right below your neck.

  4. 4

Lay the briefs flat with the back of the briefs facing up.

  5. 5

Measure down the centre of the back of the briefs, toward the crotch, the same distance as that from below your bust to the base of your neck. This should put you somewhere along the crotch of the briefs.

  6. 6

Cut straight across the crotch of the briefs at this point, leaving the binding around the leg openings intact to work as the straps of your halter top.

  7. 7

Repeat the measuring and cutting process on the front of the briefs. Cut away the rest of the crotch between the two cuts to make the head hole.

  8. 8

Put on your redneck halter top, with your arms through the leg openings and your head through the hole you just cut. Voila!
