How to Make a Homemade Frog Costume for a Baby

Babies are often dressed in animal costumes for Halloween or other costumed events. While animals such as cats and dogs are more popular, a frog costume is another popular option for baby. Unfortunately, frog costumes can be hard to find in stores. In addition to this, they can be expensive. However, it is easy to make a simple homemade frog costume for a baby. With basic craft supplies and some green baby clothes, anybody can make a baby frog costume in no time at all.

Things you need

  • Green hoodie
  • Green felt
  • Fabric scissors
  • 2 "googly" eyes
  • Hot glue gun
  • Green trousers
  • Green socks

Instructions

  1. 1

    Cut two semicircles out of felt that are each 1 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide. Glue one googly eye to the middle of each felt semicircle.

    Glue the flat edge of each felt semicircle to the top of the hood on a green hoodie. Space the semicircles about 3 inches apart.

    Cut out 6 circles of green felt that are each 1 inch in diameter. Glue three felt circles right next to each other on the top of the end of each of the hoodie sleeves to form the frog's fingers.

    Cut six circles out of green felt that are each 1 inch in diameter. Glue the felt circles to the top of the toes of a pair of green socks, three circles per sock, to form the toes of the frog.

    Pair the outfit with some green trousers.
