The Dimplex Electric Fireplace, model number DFB6016, uses a total of six light bulbs. The four lower light bulbs illuminate the "fire," while the two upper light bulbs provide light for the interior of the fireplace. Once the service panel is removed, you can replace either the upper or lower light bulbs. The replacement procedure is the same for both. The lower light bulbs are standard bulbs; the upper light bulbs are "chandelier" style bulbs, which are available at any home improvement store.

Grasp the log unit and lift the front part of it up. Pull the log toward you to unhook it from the Dimplex fireplace. Set it to the side.
Grasp the light bulb socket with your hand. With your other hand, gently turn the light bulb counterclockwise to unscrew it. Insert the new light bulb. Turn it clockwise.
Repeat as necessary. There are four lower light bulbs.
Check the upper light bulbs to determine if they need to be replaced. Hold the socket on the upper light bulb. Turn the bulb counterclockwise to unscrew it. Insert the new light bulb and turn it clockwise to tighten it.
