xD cards are flash media based devices designed by Fujifilm. Although these memory cards are smaller than the more popular SD card it is no longer produced by most other major electronic companies and is only used by a handful of electronic devices. If you do have a product that uses the xD but you have an SD card reader built into your computer you must convert the xD to an SD card size if you want to upload content from the flash memory card.

- xD to SD card adaptor
- SD card reader
Locate the top of the xD card with the arrow pointing up. This is the direction you insert the memory card into the adaptor.
Slide the memory card into the SD card adaptor. The xD card is only about a third the size of an SD card (easily lost, which is part of the reason many electronic companies no longer make the product).
Insert the SD card adaptor into the SD card reader on the computer. In a moment the computer states it has detected a new, removable device.
Click the "Start" button on the desktop, then either choose "My Computer" or "Computer" (depending on the version of Windows you are running).
Double-click the removable device icon. A window opens, giving you access to all the information on the xD card.
