Turn your wireless switch "Off" if you have one on your computer. Most laptops have a switch labelled "Internet" or a switch with a picture of an Internet tower. If you turn this off, your computer will not search for a wireless signal.
Right click on "Networks" and then right click on "Wireless Networks." Choose "Disable" to disable your wireless Internet connection.
