Changing the administrative password on your Zyxel 660 router is essential to securing your network from unwanted access. A compromised router presents a security risk that can allow an attacker to steal any information that passes through it.

Open a Web browser.
In the address bar, type in:
This is the IP address of the router and it will direct you to the router's login page.
Log in to the router as the administrator. If this is your first time doing so, use the default credentials:
Username: admin Password: 1234
and press "Enter."
If you used the default login credentials, the router will now ask you to change your password to something more secure. Enter a new password in the given fields and click "Apply."
If this is not your first time logging in, you will be presented with a screen with the following options:
"Go to Wizard set-up" "View device status" "Change password"
Select "Change password" and then click the "Apply" button.
Change your password by typing it into the given fields and then click the "Apply" button.
Reboot your router by unplugging its power cord for 10 seconds before plugging it back in. You may now close your Web browser.
