Brown leather shoes are a fashion basic for men, women and children. Because leather is a sturdy material, it can last a long time. But as reported at The Dollar, "Many people spend hours upon hours shopping for a good price on quality leather shoes that are comfortable, supportive, and look nice, but very few people take the time to care for their leather shoes properly." One problem with leather shoes is scuff marks. However, removing scuff marks on brown leather shoes is easy.

Put two of the small bowls on a kitchen counter or other waterproof surface. Fill one of the bowls with water. Put baking soda in the other bowl. Begin with about 1/4 cup baking soda.

Dip a section of one of the soft cloths in water and then dip the same section in the baking soda. Rub the scuff mark gently until it is removed. Repeat the process on all the scuff marks

Fill the third bowl with water. Dip a second soft cloth in the water. Wipe the baking soda off the shoes. Wipe the shoes dry with the last soft cloth.
