Flip the breaker switch at the breaker box that goes to the Bosch dishwasher to the "off" position before attempting to replace the motor.
Locate the kick plate at the bottom of the dishwasher and unfasten the screws that hold the plate to the appliance with a screwdriver.
Set the kick plate aside and locate the motor that sits behind the kick plate in the bottom of the dishwasher.
Open the dishwasher door and remove the lower dish rack to gain access to the bottom of the appliance.
Detach the spray arm assembly. Remove the bolt at the top of the assembly tower with a socket wrench and take the spray arm assembly out of the dishwasher.
Locate the two lead wires that are attached to the motor in the bottom of the dishwasher and disconnect them from the wiring harness by twisting the plastic electrical connectors until the wires come loose.
Unfasten the drain hose from the water pump by loosening the screw clamp around the hose with a screwdriver and pulling the hose off the pump by hand.
Lift the motor and water pump assembly out of the dishwasher base and use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the water pump to the motor.
Remove the old motor from the assembly and attach the new motor to the water pump with a screwdriver.
Set the motor and water pump assembly back into the bottom of the dishwasher and attach the drain hose to the water pump by sliding the hose over the plastic outlet flange and tightening the screw clamp around the flange with a screwdriver.
Connect the lead wires running from the motor to the wires that go to the wiring harness with the plastic wire connectors.
Position the spray arm assembly tower back into the dishwasher and tighten the bolt on the top with a socket wrench to secure the tower.
Place the dish rack into the bottom of the dishwasher. Close the door and attach the kick plate to the dishwasher with screws.
Flip the breaker switch to the Bosch dishwasher to the "on" position to restore power to the dishwasher.
