Click “More” on the main menu that appears, then click “Editor” to access the map editing tool. You will get a map on the screen with only grass on it.

  3. 3

Add mountains and cliffs to the map by clicking the “Raise/Lower Terrain” tool at the top of the screen, then placing your mouse cursor over the area you want to raise or lower. Left-click to raise and right-click to lower. Drag the mouse around either right-clicked or left-clicked to raise or lower larger areas. To add quick cliffs and canyons with a land type already on them, use the “Canyon & Cliff” tool on the top of the screen, select the type of land you want to use, and click in the area of the map where you want to add the type of canyon or cliff. Examples of types of terrain include Hades, Egyptian, Greek, Greek rock and Norse.

  4. 4

Add different types of land by clicking on the “Land” tool at the top of the screen, selecting from the different types of land and then clicking on the area of the map where you want to put that land type. Examples of different land types include sand, water, grass, rock, and snow.

Add rivers to the map by clicking the “Paint Water” tool at the top of the screen and clicking on the area of the map you want to add the river to. Drag the mouse to make a larger river. To make deeper water, use the “Raise/Lower Terrain” tool and lower the terrain within the river. Make the banks of the river better looking by clicking the “Edit Water” tool at the top of the screen, clicking on the river to select it, and then clicking “Beautify” in the box that appears.

  6. 6

Add forests to the map by clicking on the “Forest” tool on the top of the screen, selecting the type of forest you want to add to your map and clicking/dragging your mouse around the area of the map you want the forest to be in.

  7. 7

Save your map by clicking "File/Save", typing in the name of the map, and clicking “Save.” Your map will now be one of the random maps selected when you play.
