How to Connect an iPod to a Lexus SC 430

The Lexus SC 430 luxury sports car has many different interior features, including direct iPod connectivity. The car has an auxiliary input that allows you to directly plug your iPod, or any other MP3 player, into the stereo system using a standard audio cable.

    Turn off the stereo in your Lexus by pressing the "Power" button on the left side of the stereo.

    Turn your iPod off and plug one end of the 3.5 mm audio cable into your iPod's headphone jack. This is located on the top of the iPod classic and on the bottom of the iPod Touch.

    Locate the auxiliary input in your Lexus in the middle console labelled "AUX." Open the latch protecting the "AUX" input.

    Plug the opposite end of the 3.5 mm audio cable into the "AUX" input.

    Turn on the stereo in your Lexus SC 430 and change the audio input source to "AUX." The "AUX" button is on the right and is labelled "AUX."

    Play a song on your iPod and you should be able to hear it through your Lexus stereo speakers.

Tips and warnings

  • Don't turn the volume to 100 per cent on your iPod, as this can cause distortion. Instead, leave your volume around 75 per cent and use your stereo to change the volume.
