Egyptian cotton, usually used for bedding, is considered to be one of the softest most luxurious fabrics in the world. Made from long threads of cotton from northern Africa, this fabric is less prone to fuzz and fading and is very easy to clean and maintain. Cleaning Egyptian cotton is a very simple task that is more than worth the time as the reward comes in the form of elegant soft fabric that will last for years to come.

    Set the washing machine to cold water and the delicate or gentle cycle.

    Add a scoop of a mild washing powder to the washing machine.

    Wash the Egyptian cotton by itself; washing it with other clothes may damage it or cause tears.

    Take the Egyptian cotton out of the washing machine as soon as the cycle ends and shake it out to help avoid wrinkles.

    Dry the Egyptian cotton in the dryer until they are only slightly damp and hang them up to dry the rest of the way.
