Run Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool. To do so, open your desktop's Start menu and then click the dialogue titled "Run." Type "MRT" when this dialogue opens and then hit the Enter key on your keyboard. This application comes pre-installed on Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003. If the repair tool seems to be missing or broken, you will need to download a new copy from the Microsoft website.
Click on the button labelled "Next."
Select the option labelled "Full Scan." While this takes a bit longer than the "Quick Scan" default, it offers a better chance of getting rid of the RDR file system bug.
Click on the button labelled "Next." Wait for the tool to finish scanning your bug-infected hard drive.
Follow the prompts that appear to get rid of the RDR file system bug.
Click on the button labelled "Finish."
Restart your PC.
