How to Wrap a Bangladeshi Hijab

A hijab scarf is a traditional headdress often worn by Muslim women, including those in Bengladesh. To ensure that a Bangladeshi hijab is worn correctly, it is important to know the proper way to wrap and wear it.

Instructions

    Rest the underscarf section of the hijab on the head to prepare for wrapping it properly. The hijab will have a wrapping portion included. Make sure that this is resting over the chest.

    Allow the left and right hanging sides of the hijab to cross over. This will create an "X" shape that will leave an open loop at the bottom.

    Take the looped portion and raise it over your head. Wrap it completely around the head until it reaches the front again.

    Once you have gathered the hijab towards the front, let the remaining material under the chin gather. Use a dressing pin to secure the gathering material in place.
