The wireless adaptor drivers on your Windows XP computer are used to connect to wireless Internet networks. When your adaptor drivers are not current, you might not be able to connect to the Internet or you could lose your connectivity during a session. Updating these drivers is not very hard. You don't have to be a computer whizz to get them updated. You can just use the Windows Update software that comes with your Windows XP system.

    Click "Start" on the lower left-hand side of the screen and then click on the "Search" bar from the menu.

    Enter "update" into the search box and hit the "Enter" key.

    Click on "Windows Update" from the menu that appears to launch the program.

    Click on the "Check for updates" button on the top left-hand side of the screen.

    Click on the wireless adaptor driver update that you want to install after the scan has completed.

    Click "Install Updates" and then wait for the installation to complete. Restart your computer.
