How to make Google my home page & search engine

Google provides the mostly commonly used search engine for searching for information on the Internet. If you use Google often, you can set as your home page and make Google your default search engine. Doing this will give you access to you home page by just clicking the Home button, and your Web browser will open to Google when the program is launched.

Open the Firefox browser and click the "Firefox" menu at the top of the page.

Select "Options" from the drop-down menu and choose "Options" again from the menu that slides out. When the Options dialogue box opens, click the "General" tab.

Look to the "Start Up" section and enter "" in the form next to Home Page" Click "OK." Google is now set as your home page.

In the Search box at the top right, click the down arrow on the icon of the current default search. Select "Manage Search Engines." Select Google from the list and click the "Move Up" button to move it to the top of the list. Click "OK."

Open the Internet Explorer browser and click the "Tools" menu. Select "Internet Options" from the drop-down menu.

Click the "General" tab when the Internet Options window opens.

Enter "" in the form under "Home page." Click "OK" to set Google as your new home page.

Click the "Tools" menu and select "Manage Add-ons" Choose "Search Providers" in the left pane. If Google is in the list, select it and choose "Set as Default." If Google is not in the list, select the "Find More Search Providers" link near the bottom, find Google in the search and add it. Then choose "Set as Default."

Select "Google" from the list of search-engine options. Google is now your default search engine.

Open the Safari browser and select "Safari" from the menu. Select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu.

Click the "General" tab when the Preferences window opens.

Enter "" in the form next to "Home page." Close the window. Google is now your home page for Safari.

Find the search box located at the top-right corner of the browser window. Click the arrow to view the list of search engine options.

Select "Google" from the list. Google is now your default search engine for Safari.
