Download the Irfanview graphics program from http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm and install it onto your computer by double-clicking on the installation package that's saved to your computer upon download.
Download the free GhostScript EPS reader from http://sourceforge.net/projects/ghostscript/ and install it onto your computer by double-clicking on the installation package that's saved to your computer upon download. (This supplementary software is required in order to use Irfanview to convert images into the EPS graphics format.)
Open the image that you'd like to convert from JPG to EPS format by double-clicking on the Irfanview program icon, then selecting "File" and "Open" from the command menu at the top of the program screen. Select the image you'd like to convert in the pop-up dialogue box that appears, and then click on the "Open" button in the lower right corner of the pop-up dialogue box.
Click on "File" in the top command menu bar, then click on "Save As. . ." on the drop-down menu that appears. At the bottom of the pop-up dialogue box that appears, click on the long button next to "Save as type:" and select "EPS" from the list of file format options Irfanview offers.
Click on "Save" in the pop-up dialogue box to save the converted EPS image to your computer.
Note that GhostScript installation is required before Irfanview can convert your JPG or JPEG files into EPS format. You may be required to restart your computer after installing GhostScript before you can use the EPS format in Irfanview.
