LED lights add a "cool" glow effect when installed under your car. It may also provide a measure of safety when installed on a footwell. Passengers will be able to see the footwell steps as the LED lights shine in the dark. They come in all sorts of colours, the most popular being green or blue. Yellow is ideal if the LED lights are being used for safety purposes. The LED light kit is also easy to install on a vehicle footwell.

Place the LED light bar on the footwell in the position you want to install it. Usually, on top of the steps near the back is the most ideal spot, but mounting a light bar along the vertical tube of the footwell is just as good of an option. Here the light bar is less likely to be covered in dirt, or break off because it will not be stepped on.
Make marks through the mounting holes on the LED light bar with a magic marker to determine your drill holes. Make them clear and bold with a black or blue marker.
Remove the light bar and drill the mounting holes with a carbide drill bit and power drill. Match the bit to the mounting hardware size, typically this is 3/32-inch bit.
Line the LED light bar with the mounting holes and install the mounting screws using a hand-held screwdriver or power drill. Tighten the screws just enough to hold the light bar in place. Be careful not to break the mounting plate by tightening the screws too hard.
Run the connecting wire from the light bar up under the chassis and through the vehicle's firewall. Connect the wire connector to an open slot in your vehicle's fuse box. Use the proper sized fuse (check your manual for fuse recommendations) for the light bar you have selected. Usually a size 5 or 10 fuse is used.
