The Portable Document Format (PDF) is regarded as the standard for printing and sending documents electronically. As a PDF, the document retains all formatting. The PDF is often used as the format for electronic books and reports. While there are different programs that work with PDFs, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader have a number of features that allow you to customise and print specific types of documents. If you don't have the full version of Adobe Acrobat on your computer, download and install the free Adobe Reader software (see Resources). Printing out a book can be done in a few ways, depending on your needs. You can simply print out a multipage document and bind it, or set up the document for a folded booklet, in which the pages are arranged and printed in the correct order.
