Paint usually comes out of clothes if it's caught in time. Paint that has time to dry onto fabric, however, is much more difficult to remove. A combination of products like liquid dish soap, turpentine and water can be used to take old paint stains off of clothes.

Things you need
- Liquid dish soap
- 2 cloths
- Washing powder
Dampen a cloth and pour a dime-size amount of liquid dish soap onto it.
Rub the paint-stained area to work up a lather onto the stain.
Hold the stained fabric under a running faucet to wash off the soap.
Pour a small amount of turpentine onto another cloth.
Rub the turpentine onto the old paint stain until it comes out.
Run the paint-stained clothes through the washing machine with washing powder.
Air dry the clothes.
