When you open your Safari browser, it loads Apple's home page by default. Changing your home page to one that you use frequently can save you the time and hassle of bypassing the default page. If you like to use Google when you launch Safari, then you would benefit from making Google your default home page. Changing Safari's settings to do this is fast and easy.

    Edit Safari's Preferences

    Open the Safari browser.

    Type "www.google.com" into the URL bar and press the "return" key.

    Click on the "Safari" icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

    Click on "Preferences." A new window will appear.

    Click the "General" icon.

    Click the "Set to Current Page" button to make Google your new home page.
