How to upload large photos on Facebook

Updated March 23, 2017

Whether the picture is large or small, you can put it on Facebook. If you want to show your friends your computer background or some other very large image, you don’t have to worry about the size of it being too large for Facebook. Facebook automatically resizes pictures to fit the web page’s margins, so you can upload any size picture you want to the site.

Open and log in to your Facebook account in your Web browser.

Click on your name on the left side of the screen to view your profile.

Click the “Photos” tab at the top.

Open the album in which you want to add the picture to. You can also create a new album by click “Create Photo Album” at the top.

Click “Add More Photos” while viewing the album.

Allow the Java tool to access your browser if you receive a pop-up asking if you want to “Run” it.

Find the picture you want to add from the folders on the left task pane. The pictures within the folders will show up in the centre window.

Choose the picture(s) you want to upload by clicking the box in the top, left of the picture.

Click “Upload.”

Wait for the picture to upload. You will receive a message stating the upload was successful when it finishes.
