VLC Media Player from Videolan is a powerful video player and transcoder (converter) that handles many different formats, including the popular DivX, MP4 and WMV files, as well as DVD files and streaming videos from the Internet. Converting your VLC videos to MP4 is an easy process once you have downloaded or updated to the most current version of VLC. Depending on the file size, file type and quality of your input VLC file and output settings, some loss of quality may occur during conversion.
