These simple, yet elegant, ornaments are inexpensive to create and will bring flair and style to an otherwise plain Christmas tree. Draw the shape of a dove's body onto a piece of white card stock. Look at an ornithological book if you are unsure how to draw the dove.
Cut the shape out with a pair of scissors.
Draw a circle into a piece of white paper. Use a dinner plate as a guide to make the circle more perfect. The circle should also be proportionate to the size of the dove's body.
Fold one of the edges approximately 1/2 inch. Turn the circle over and fold the circle again, in the same direction, another 1/2 inch. Keep repeating until you have formed the shape of a fan.
Cut a slit approximately 1/2 inch into the middle of the bird body. Place a small amount of white glue into the slit.
Press one of the ends of the fan into the slit. Half of the fan should be on one side of the body, half on the other. Hold the fan into the slit for two minutes and then allow the ornament to dry.
Fan out the paper and punch a hole into the bird's body near the neck.
Thread a thin white ribbon through the hole and tie either end together to create a loop.
Hang the ornament from the Christmas tree.
