How to convert an NCO extension to jpeg

Updated April 17, 2017

NCO (Nero BackItUp) files are compressed storage files used by Nero's BackItUp compression software. They allow files to be reduced in size and then expanded later. JPEGs (Joint Photographic Experts Group) files are the most popular format for storing digital photos. Converting NCO files back into JPEGs only requires a few simple steps.

Locate the NCO file you wish to convert to a JPEG.

Right click on the file.

Select "Open with Nero BackItUp Restore" from the menu.

Select "JPEG" from the "Save as..." dialogue box and choose a location for the file. The file is now converted from an NCO into a JPEG.
