Instructions

  1. 1

Pop the boot and locate the back of the tail light. In the Volvo, there is a hole in the carpet with an access panel in the rear. Pull back the carpet to reveal the housing.

  2. 2

Unclip the harness that connects the tail light bulbs to the body. The bulbs then unbolt from the rear of the housing itself, using the 1/4-inch ratchet.

  3. 3

Unbolt the tail light housing from the body using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket set.

  4. 4

Pull out the broken housing and insert the replacement housing.

  5. 5

Bolt in the new housing using the 1/4-inch ratchet and sockets. Reconnect the bulbs and the wiring in the reverse order of disassembly.

  6. 6

Test the brakes and lighting to ensure that everything is working correctly.
