How to Use an Acer 5920 Bluetooth

Updated April 17, 2017

Bluetooth technology allows for wireless communication between two electronic devices over a short distance. The Acer Aspire 5920 series of notebook computers feature built-in Bluetooth technology. This allows users to connect Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, PDAs, headsets and other computer peripheral devices to the notebook. Once connected, some devices synchronise with applications on the computer. For example, the calendar on a smart phone can synchronise with the calendar on the computer.

Press the "Bluetooth" button to the left of the traditional keyboard. This button turns the notebook's Bluetooth function on and off. Make sure any device you want to connect has Bluetooth powered on -- and that the device is nearby.

Press the "Windows" and "X" keys simultaneously to open Windows Mobile Center.

Press the "Add Device" button in the Bluetooth field. A list of Bluetooth devices that are nearby will appear. Select the device that you want to connect to your computer.
