Your car's vehicle identification number (VIN) is a treasure trove of information. Its alphanumerical code can tell you what year your Ford product was built as well as what plant the car was produced in, what body style it is, what original equipment came with the car, and more. The unique serial number can also provide you with information related to recalls. Ford issues recalls of its vehicles whenever a safety or emissions-related concern arises. To check your car's VIN to see if it is part of a recall, all you need to do is access Ford's recall website.
