Darkened lips are a tell tale sign of smoking. Whether you have just recently quit smoking or find darkened lips undesirable you can lighten them to flatter your face. The process of lightening your lips is somewhat gradual and results can vary from person to person. With a few pointers you can lighten your lips that have been darkened from smoking, and achieve a more flattering appearance.

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tps. of honey
  • Glycerine

    Wash your face. A clean set of lips is best to start with.

    Mix lemon juice and honey together. They must be mixed well in order to be applied smoothly.

    Apply this mixture to your face in the morning hours.

    Allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes. This will allow the lemon and honey time to work.

    Rinse the mixture from the lips completely.

    Apply glycerine to your lips in the evening. Glycerine has decent overnight results and the added moisture will help improve the texture of your lips. In the morning you will note a positive result from just one treatment of the lemon, honey, and glycerine method.
