Instructions

  1. 1

Send your payment in the mail. Use your credit card statement and send your MasterCard payment via the U.S Postal Service. There are three different payment processing centres located in Texas, California and Delaware. The region of the country you are located in will determine which address you send your payments to. An address is located on your statement or on the back of your credit card. Write your account number on your check. Do not postdate your check. Payments are processed automatically.

  2. 2

Pay by phone. Make your MasterCard payment by calling 1-800-732-9194 and letting the representative know that you want to make a payment over the phone. There is no fee for this service. You will need your current account number and the bank routing number. Located at the bottom of your checks on the left side is a nine-digit routing number followed by your current account number. Your payment will be taken out of your current account at midnight of the same day you submit your request. You can also specify a specific date in the future. For example, if you will be on vacation and don't want the payment taken out for 10 days, let the representative know.

  3. 3

Sign up for online banking. Go to the Bank of America website to sign up. You will be instructed to choose a pass code and user Identification to enrol. There will also be three security questions for you to answer. The enrolment process takes 2 to 3 days for Bank of America to process and enter into their system. You will not be able to make a payment the same day you enrol. Once enrolled, you can sign in and enter your pass code and user Identification and the system will walk you through the steps for making a payment.

  4. 4

Choose an online banking method. When you enrol in online banking you can choose to pay by funds transfer or by bill pay. The system will prompt you for your choice. A funds transfer is used when you are making a payment from a Bank of America current account to a Bank of America credit card. There is no fee, and the process is completed the same day. You may also choose a future payment date. To make a payment from a non-Bank of America account you will do a bill pay. This type of transaction takes 3 days to process.

  5. 5

Go to a branch. Bank of America has a number of branches located throughout the U.S. Go to the branch locator website, and under "U.S. Locations" key in your Postcode and hit "Go." You will be given a list of all the branches in your area, along with addresses and phone numbers. Visit a branch in your area and speak to a bank teller, who will take your payment and process it.
