Wiremold is a product made by Legrand, a group that designs plastic and metal raceway and wire management accessories. Anyone that wants to run wire in a home or office environment, but lacks the ability to pull the wires through the wall, may find Wiremold a useful product. The raceway products are easy to cut and stick to a wall or other surface, and are available in multiple sizes and textures to match any installation need.

Things you need

  • Wiremold channel kit
  • Wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Measuring tape
  • Heavy duty scissors
  • Paint or stain (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

    Cut the wires to length using the wire cutters. Lay out the wires in the intended path from the starting to ending points.

    Measure the Wiremold channel kit to match the wiring layout.

  3. 3

    Cut the channel kit into the required sections with the heavy duty scissors.

  4. 4

    Peel off the adhesive backing from the individual runs of Wiremold. Press the pieces into place.

  5. 5

    Slide the wire into the Wiremold channel. Snap the cover closed to secure the wire into the channel.

  6. 6

    Pop the corner and join adaptors into place as needed.

  7. 7

    Paint or stain the Wiremold channel kit to match its background, if desired.
