Many sportsmen will agree that turkeys are among the hardest animals to hunt, as the bird has an uncanny ability to sense danger, plus superior hearing. With the aid of a turkey call a hunter can greatly increase his chances of killing the animal by luring it into his position. Using the turkey call also helps the hunter avoid moving around and making noise that can easily startle the turkey. A tube turkey call is the simplest of all turkey calls, and anyone can make his own at home with the appropriate supplies.

Things you need
- 3/4-inch PVC pipe coupler
- Plastic lid
- Camouflage tape
- Hot glue gun
- Latex glove
- Rubber bands
- Knife or scissors
Sand one end of the PVC pipe coupler with a fine grade sandpaper until the edges are smooth.
Place the pipe coupler on a plastic lid and trace out a circle using the coupler as a stencil, then cut the circle out of the lid. Cut the small circle in half. You can use an old lid from a sour cream or butter container.
Place hot glue onto the edge of the half circle and place it on top of the PVC pipe coupler. Allow the glue to dry for about 15 minutes, then sand away any rough spots using fine grade sandpaper. This will be your lip rest.
Cut a 2-by-2 inch square out of a latex glove, then place it over the top of the tube, including the lip rest you just glued into place. Stretch the latex piece taut, then secure it to the tube with a rubber band.
Place hot glue on the other half-circle piece and place it on top of the latex, opposite the side that the first lip rest was placed, leaving a 1/4-inch gap in between the half-circles. Cut a small slit into the latex, down the length of the 1/4-inch gap.
Wrap camouflage tape around the PVC pipe coupler to decorate.
