Rollerblading is an excellent activity for recreation and exercise. But in order to rollerblade you need an ample amount of space and the ability to stand up on them. If you do not have either the space or skill, don't worry. You can actually make your own pair of rollerblades that are designed to go on your fingers. With these special rollerblades, you can turn any desktop or table top into a mini skate park.

Things you need
- 2 small, plastic toy cars
- Needle nose pliers or flathead screwdriver
- Cardboard, 5 by 5 inch square
- 4 paper clips
- Small tube of super glue
- Package of multicoloured clay dough
- Spool of thick string
Pry open the small, plastic car using the pliers or screwdriver and remove the small wheels from both cars. You only need the wheels for this project.
Draw two peanut shapes, 1 1/2-inches long and 1/2 inch wide, on the cardboard rectangle. The shapes should look like the number 8. Cut these shapes out of the cardboard. These will be the soles of the rollerblades.
Untwist each of the paper clips so that they are straight. Bend each of the straightened paper clips in half and twist until they break. Take four of the toy wheels, four of the paper clip halves and one of the cardboard soles and assemble the base of the rollerblades in this manner: insert one of the halves through the centre of each wheel, bend the two ends of the paper clip with the pliers so that they point up (like a staple), push these paper clip/wheel connections up through the cardboard sole in one row of four or two rows of two (like rollerblades), lastly bend the two pieces of each paper clip over to secure the wheels to the sole. Repeat this with the other components.
Model the main body of the rollerblades out of clay. Shape the clay into two boots, about 2 inches high and with the same shape as the rollerblade soles. Press your index finger into the top of the shapes to make them hollow on the inside. You can make the rollerblades one colour or use many colours. Add as many details as you wish to these rollerblades, they are yours to customise. Place a dab of glue on top of each rollerblade base and adhere the clay bodies to the base. Allow these to set for 15 minutes.
Cut a few tiny pieces of string from the spool and carefully glue them to the front of the shoe in a crisscross pattern to represent laces. Let the glue dry.
