The coaxial cable port is a standard analogue connector for most audio/video devices, including televisions, DVD players and VCRs. Although European countries also use the coaxial cable connection, the actual voltage and connection size is slightly different. If you need to connect a North American coaxial cable into a European television you need to install a European coaxial cable adaptor.

Instructions

  1. 1

Connect the coaxial cable into the "Out" port on the device you want to plug into the TV (such as a DVD player or VCR).

  2. 2

Screw the coaxial cable into the female end of the European adaptor. The female end has the open port allowing the metal pin on the connector to insert into it.

  3. 3

Insert the male end of the European adaptor into the "In" port on the television. This converts the North American cable for use in the European television.
