Isagenix International was founded in March 2002 by John Anderson and Jim and Kathy Coover with a total of nine employees. Originally, Isagenix operated out of three separate facilities in Tempe, Arizona, before consolidating into one facility in Chandler, Arizona, in 2004.
During its first year of operation, Isagenix's main product was the Cleansing and Fat Burning System, which claimed it could help balance digestion, boost energy, improve muscle tone, reduce cravings for unhealthy foods and promote consistent weight loss. The product is still available in 2010 as Cleanse for Life. Other Isagenix products include dietary supplements and skin care products.
Anderson, founder of Isagenix, had made a career as a formulator and manufacturer of nutritional and weight loss products for over 600 companies.
