Microsoft supplies you with a product key to use with its trial version of the Microsoft Office suite. You can use any program from Microsoft Office 25 times before you are required to enter the trial key, although you are prompted for it every time you start an application. After the initial 25 times, the suite works with limited functionality -- you are able to view documents but not make any changes -- until you enter the trial product key. The key expires 60 days after the initial activation.
