The Google Search Engine Virus, also referred to as Google Redirect or, is a virus that redirects your Google search results. Generally, the virus will redirect your search results to corrupt websites that can further infect your computer. In addition, the virus may disable your firewalls, disable your antivirus program, prevent you from opening Internet Explorer, and flood your computer with fake error messages.

    Click the "Start" menu and "Control Panel.

    Click on "System," "Hardware" and "Device Manager."

    Click on "View," at the top of the Device Manager window.

    Select "Show Hidden Devices" from the drop-down menu.

    Scroll down the list of devices and click the triangle next to "Non-plug and Play Drivers." A new list of devices will appear.

    Scroll down the new list of devices and right-click on "TDSSserv.sys," and select "Disable."

    Restart your computer. The Google Search Engine Virus should now be gone. However, it is recommended that you update and run your antivirus program. This will help detect and remove any infected files that may still be on your computer.
