- Acer recovery disc
Place your Acer recovery disc in your disc drive and restart your computer.
Press the “F2” key when prompted to enter your computer's BIOS set-up menu.
Select the "Boot” tab from the options at the top to enter the screen that allows you to change your boot order.
Place your primary disc drive at the top of the list to designate it as your primary boot device. Your boot order is the order that your system uses to determine what source to boot from. You are setting this to your primary disc drive so your computer loads the operating system found on your CD instead of your hard drive. This will tell your computer to boot from your disc, which will allow you to use the recovery disc.
Press “F10” to save and exit BIOS and select “Yes” to confirm the changes you have made.
Restart your computer and your operation is complete.
