How to Print Transparent Stickers

Updated February 21, 2017

Printing your own transparent stickers at home gives you the ability to label documents as you need them. Printing these stickers is not difficult, but you do need to gather the items you need before you get started. Once you have everything you need, you can create your own transparent stickers in a matter of minutes.

Purchase the stickers you want to use. Make sure you buy stickers that are designed to work with your type of printer, whether inkjet or laser. Also make sure the stickers have an Avery equivalent number listed on them. This will make it easy to choose the right format in your word-processing program.

Log on to your computer and open your word-processing program. Click on the "File" menu and choose "New" from the list to start a new document.

Click on the "Tools" menu and choose "Letters and Mailings" from the list. Click on the "Envelopes and Labels" option and choose the "Labels" tab.

Click the "Labels" button and choose the Avery equivalent number listed on your box of stickers. Click the "New Document" button to open a new document with a template you can type into.

Type the data you want to print on the stickers. Load the stickers into the printer and click the "File" menu. Choose "Print" from the list to send the document to the printer.
